When Babyhuddle asked if any of their Elite Bloggers were interested in hosting a carnival, I jumped at the chance to showcase some excellent bloggers, and the topic of breastfeeding was one I was naturally drawn to. I have had a great response from the other Babyhuddle bloggers, so I suggest you snuggle down on the sofa… Continue reading

Pimp A Post Sunday
It’s Sunday, which means its PAPS.
On Friday 14th December, twenty six people were murdered in Sandy Hook school in Connecticut. Twenty of those were 6 and 7 year old children. The horror of this story has broken my heart and I have been sobbing for the parents and families of those poor children who never returned home from school that day.
And then I read… Continue reading

PAPS and Boobs
I imagine this title may invite a few spammers…..
Anyway. There has, of recent times, been a lot of talk in the parent blogging world of blogging being less about content and passion for writing, and more about popularity contests, rankings, and proficiency in all forms of social media. So Sophie has created the PAPS (Pimp A Post Sunday, duh) to take us all… Continue reading

The Mother of all Questions
Recently I have been tagged in several memes, and am still trying to get round to answering all of the questions. This one, from Lou at BabyGaGa, really caught my attention, as the questions were not the usual Ten Things You Never Knew etc. She also tagged several others, so once you have read my answers go and read theirs too (if they’ve got round to answering… Continue reading

Save the Children #66cities
This is The Baby. This was when we started baby led weaning, although we had been weaning her for a few months before this, we had originally begun with spoon-feeding only. At first it went fine, but then she got fussy and refused to eat much of what we offered her. Baby led weaning was suggested, and… Continue reading

Mammy’s Monday Music Meme
Again, it’s not Monday. Again, I’m late joining in. I just can never seem to get organised on time. Sorry Fran.
Last December, The Boyfriend and I had our first night out together after The Baby was born. It was a rather daunting experience leaving our then not-quite-five-month-old with my parents, knowing she wouldn’t sleep and would more than likely scream all night. She was totally breast-fed and feeding… Continue reading

100 Words
So they’re at it again, those parent-blogger types. And again, it’s all for Save The Children and their No Child Born To Die campaign. Do you remember the blog-hop back in May supporting the campaign to increase the funding for vaccines in the developing world? This time there is a call for increased funding for health workers. Without… Continue reading

Mammy’s Monday Music Meme
The more astute (and less sleep-deprived) among you will realise it isn’t Monday. But I really wanted to join in with this meme last week, but never got round to it, and I didn’t want another whole week to go by with me not managing to link up. So, yes it is Thursday, but at least I’m doing it, OK??
O Mammy has devised a rather splendid… Continue reading

Ten Things You Don’t Know About Me
I have been tagged in this linky by Mum2babyinsomniac and Jayne at Mum’s The Word. Thanks, ladies, it’s probably the most difficult meme I’ve been tagged in so far. I’ll try to get to ten without boring you (or myself)…
- My extended family is big. Huge, in fact. My dad is one of twelve children and my mum one of
